To Whom It May Concern:

Your property may qualify for an agricultural use valuation.

To be eligible for this special method of valuation for land used primarily for agricultural purposes:

** Land needs to be used to produce agricultural products such as plants, crops, trees, forest products,
orchard crops, livestock, captive deer or elk, wool, mohair, hides, pelts, poultry, fish, dairy products,
and honey.

** Parcels applying for agricultural use must contain a minimum of two acres.

The owner of the land must make application to the County Assessor in a tax year in which the valuation method of this section is first claimed. Application shall be made under oath, and on a form containing the information required by the department rules and must be made no later than the last day of February of the tax year. Once land is valued under this section, applicaiton need not be made in subsequent tax years as long as there is no change in the use of the land or in ownership.
